ECB & BOJ Decisions - Market Update March 7th 2018

In tonight's update, Vince covers: 1) Stocks opened lower but reversed course and closed well off their Lows after news that Canada and Mexico could be exempt from proposed tariffs. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 82.76 points, the S&P 500 fell 1.32 points while the Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 24.64 points and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 12.34 points.
2) Crude Oil Futures dropped significantly today after U.S. Government data showed an increase in crude inventories and output. Gold Futures slipped $8.60 while Bonds and the U.S. dollar bounced around but closed mostly flat.
3) Traders are eagerly waiting for the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Bank Of Japan (BOJ) meetings scheduled for tomorrow. The main focus will be on forward guidance. Neither the ECB nor the BOJ are expected to make any major changes at their monetary policy meetings tomorrow, however, the equity markets will be looking for clues as to when they will begin to scale back quantitative easing measures.
