1) Stocks opened higher on Wednesday but could not maintain the momentum and finished the day slightly lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 28 points, the S&P 500 gave up 2 points while the Nasdaq 100 closed lower by 2.89 points and the Russell 2000 finished higher by 3 points.
2) Bonds pulled back sharply for the second straight trading session sending yields higher once again. Gold Futures edged higher but are bumping into overhead resistance while crude oil futures are getting closer to breaking above near-term highs.
